Learning and Development Consultant

My client are a high-growth leading accounting firm who are looking for their first specialist L&D hire. This role will be based in their Oxford office, but will require travel to other sites when rolling out initiatives and training. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to work in a standalone capacity – so confidence to do so is key.

You therefore must have experience in a specialist L&D role and have the confidence to work standalone. The role will report directly in the Head of HR and you will be part of the wider HR team. They are a business who pride themselves on their culture and therefore this role will be integral to bringing together their culture as they continue to grow through acquisitions.

There will also be some exciting projects to lead on, which will include working closely with other teams across the business. This is a role where you can really put your own stamp on an area and make it your own. Experience working with mergers and acquisitions will be highly advantageous.

Job Responsibilities

Duties will include:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for all L&D queries and advising Managers and employees across the regional hubs
  • Project managing the implementation of key L&D programmes including their Management Development programme
  • Managing relationships with training providers and training budgets
  • Coaching and mentoring Managers
  • Coordinating professional qualification training programmes across all offices
  • Creating departmental L&D plans and looking for ways to improve the efficiency of them all

Requirements

This role requires 4 days a week in their Oxford office and they offer flexible working with core across 10 – 4pm. You must have a valid UK driving license and a car as site visits will be a big part of the role.
